A person in County Kerry was scammed out of 800 euros after ordering a PlayStation Five video game console online, Radio Kerry reported. Instead of the gaming device, the buyer received two bottles of 7up soft drink in the post. [1]

After opening the parcel to discover the two bottles of lemonade, the buyer was unable to establish contact with the seller, according to Radio Kerry. Sergeant Brosnan stated that buyers can protect themselves by paying with credit cards and purchasing exclusively from known sellers. [1]

The PlayStation Five is a home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was announced in April 2019 and launched worldwide in November 2020 as part of the ninth generation of video game consoles. [3]
