Comedian Jerry Seinfeld mocked anti Israel hecklers who interrupted his stand-up performance at the Chicago Theatre last Friday, the New York Post reported. Security staff removed the activists from the venue during the incident. Clips posted online showed protesters shouting at Seinfeld and accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. [1]
According to video footage cited by the New York Post, one woman shouted at Seinfeld that twenty-two thousand Palestinian children have been killed with taxpayer money while he was making jokes. Al Jazeera and the New York Post both report that Seinfeld danced on stage during the confrontation with the hecklers. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Seinfeld also stated he would send money from a protester's ticket to Israel. [1][3][11]
Seinfeld gained stardom playing a fictionalized version of himself in the NBC sitcom Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998, which he co-created with Larry David. The Gaza war has sparked protests and demonstrations around the world focused on demands for a ceasefire and ending United States support for Israel. [7][8]
