JD Vance cancels Minnesota trip for fraud press conference

Vice President JD Vance has canceled his scheduled trip to Minnesota on Friday to hold a news conference on fraud, according to reports from the Washington Examiner and local media outlets including FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul, Audacy, and Yahoo. The vice president was originally set to make an announcement regarding the administration's investigation into fraud in Minnesota, with planned stops including St. Cloud. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

The Washington Examiner reported that the cancellation followed President Donald Trump's decision to cancel and reschedule his own in-person rallies in Iowa and Kansas this weekend. Trump explained that he can reach a broader audience by conducting tele-rallies instead. The task force previously uncovered nearly 42 million dollars in stolen food stamp benefits involving more than 40 defendants, bringing the total stolen benefits uncovered by the task force to 641 million dollars.
