Jason Alexander reveals he attended therapy during Seinfeld peak fame

Actor Jason Alexander revealed that he was in therapy while starring on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld to help him cope with sudden fame. Fox News reported that Alexander made the comments during an appearance on Daniel Lubetzky's podcast, Build or Break. [1][2]

Alexander explained on the podcast that the dramatic change in his life was overwhelming and that seeking professional help was the only way he was able to manage the transition. When asked directly by Lubetzky if he literally went to therapy, Alexander confirmed that he was in treatment while the show was actively airing, according to Fox News. [1]

Alexander gained international stardom playing the character George Costanza on Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998. The sitcom focused on four self-absorbed New Yorkers and was famously described as a show about nothing. During his career, Alexander earned a Tony Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. [2][5]
