Indian actor Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed after shots were fired at his vehicle on October 18, BBC News reported. As FTMQ News reported earlier, gunmen opened fire on the actor's car in Mumbai, injuring his driver and another person. BBC News reported that the incident took place on a Sunday evening in Juhu, a neighbourhood in Mumbai, as the 36 year old actor was leaving a football ground in his car. The shooting wounded the driver and a vlogger who was present to film the actor. [1][12]

Following the shooting, the team representing Tiger Shroff posted a video on Instagram displaying gunpowder burn marks on his arm, according to reports from The Times of India. The media outlet reported that the clip was shared with the caption God is kind to show small red marks on his arm. The publication noted that the post appeared to respond to social media users who had questioned whether the actor had suffered an injury during the incident. [2][3]

BBC News reported that Indian police have detained or arrested individuals as part of an investigation into the shooting. According to Frontline Magazine, questions have been raised regarding potential links to the Bishnoi gang. As FTMQ News reported earlier, a social media post associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang previously claimed responsibility for the gun attack. [1][6][12]

Born Jai Hemant Shroff to actors Jackie Shroff and Ayesha Dutt, the Hindi cinema star made his debut in the 2014 action romance film Heropanti. BBC News noted that the attack on the actor has revived concerns regarding the influence of historical Mumbai gangster networks over the Hindi film industry during the 1990s. [1][8][11]
