Foreign investment is rising globally even as the number of newly announced projects falls, according to a report by United Nations Trade and Development presented in Doha. Euronews reported that the findings were released during the ninth edition of the World Investment Forum, which takes place in Qatar from 25 to 27 October. [1][4]

Euronews reported that overall investment funding remains heavily concentrated in a small number of economies. Delegates including government officials, corporate leaders, and financial institutions are meeting at the forum to discuss methods for broader job creation and economic benefits across more nations. [1]

Several countries sent representatives to market their national commercial opportunities during the gathering. Reports from Arab News PK and Business in Bangladesh noted that ministers and investment bodies from Pakistan and Bangladesh attended the Doha sessions to build international business partnerships. [7][8]

Doha is the capital city and main financial hub of Qatar, situated on the Persian Gulf coast. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the host city regularly accommodates high-level international summits and diplomatic visits. [10][12]
