Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the Boston headquarters of Liberty Mutual on Sunday to demand that the insurance company end its Liberty Biberty mascot. UPI and BroBible both reported that the rally took place directly in front of the building. [1][2]
According to UPI, the protest was organized by nineteen year old Connor Harvey. Harvey organized the event after his YouTube video titled Death of Mascots gained more than 600000 views. In the video, Harvey voiced his distaste for the yellow mascot. [1]
UPI reported that demonstrators held signs during the event. Harvey told the Boston Globe that the protest was a revolution and likened the demonstration to the next Boston Tea Party to take down the mascot at company headquarters. [1]
Canadian actor and model Tanner Novlan plays the struggling actor character in the Liberty Mutual commercials. Novlan is also known for his role as doctor John Finn Finnegan on the television soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. [3]
