Causes of death revealed for two University of Mississippi students

The causes of death for two University of Mississippi students were revealed in federal court in Mississippi. Action News 5 and the New York Post both reported that court proceedings disclosed how Aidan Hamilton, aged 18, and Robert Strang, aged 20, died following their deaths on Sept. 21. [1][2]

According to the New York Post, a defense attorney for one of two men charged with selling narcotics stated that one student died from combined drug use, including cough syrup. The same attorney stated in court that the second student died from inhalation asphyxiation. [1]

The deaths involved illegal synthetic kratom pills. As FTMQ News reported earlier, federal authorities previously charged a store clerk and his son after the two students died in September. Action News 5 reported that workers at an Oxford store faced charges in connection with the case. [1][2][11]
