Bigfoot researchers investigate reported sightings in New Jersey state park

A group of hunters is investigating reported sightings of Bigfoot in New Jersey, the New York Post reported. The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization has recorded 79 reported sightings of the creature in the state on its website. [1]

Bigfoot researcher Mike Familant and his team recently focused on an eerie animal-like sound in High Point State Park, which sits in northwestern New Jersey. Familant said the team heard the sound after mimicking an owl in the park. [1]

Bigfoot, also called Sasquatch, is described as a large, hairy humanoid creature in North American folklore. Traditional legend links the creature to forests in the Pacific Northwest, but reports have emerged in other regions. [1][3]

Eyewitness reports generally describe Bigfoot as a massively muscular bipedal creature. Adult reports describe an average height of nearly 8 feet, with pendulous arms that reach almost to the knees. [4]
