Andreas Almgren and Sheila Chepkirui Win New York City Marathon

Andreas Almgren of Sweden and Sheila Chepkirui of Kenya won the men's and women's divisions at the New York City Marathon on Sunday. The New York Post reported that the 31-year-old Almgren completed his New York City debut in 02:06:01. Yahoo Sports added that the race marked Almgren's first-ever marathon victory. In the women's division, the 35-year-old Chepkirui finished with a time of 2:24:36 to claim her second victory in the event, the New York Post reported.
