Chris Bruni-Lowe, a close political adviser to Nigel Farage, held an influential role at national polling firm Redfield and Wilton Strategies without being publicly associated with the company, the Guardian reported on October 12. Sources who worked at the firm said Bruni-Lowe used his position to help develop potential campaign strategies. [1]

Redfield and Wilton Strategies was established in 2020 and is owned by lawyer Bruno Rodrigues, according to the Guardian. Bruni-Lowe has served as the private pollster for Farage for many years. [1]

Separately, Farage pledged on October 12 to suspend the asylum system in the United Kingdom for five years if Reform UK wins the next general election, the Daily Mail, Kent Online, and the Manchester Evening News reported. The Daily Mail and Manchester Evening News both report that the plan would declare all active asylum applications void and scrap resettlement schemes. [2][3][6]

Farage is the Leader of Reform UK and has served as the Member of Parliament for Clacton since 2024. He previously led the UK Independence Party from 2006 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2016, and served as a member of the European Parliament for South East England between 1999 and 2020. [7][8]
