Chinese automobile company Zeekr has set a Guinness World Record for the tightest gap passed through while drifting in an electric car, UPI reported on October 12, 2026. Driver Chien Jui-Yu represented the company during the record attempt. [1]

According to UPI, the driver used a Zeekr 7X vehicle to drift sideways through the opening. The maneuver left a total clearance of 25 cm, which was calculated by subtracting the length of the car from the total length of the gap. [1]

UPI reported that the automotive manufacturer staged the attempt to mark its fifth anniversary. A spokesperson stated that the vehicle reflects the company's commitment to intelligent engineering, precision, and performance. [1]

Zeekr is a Chinese automobile brand wholly owned by Geely Automobile Holdings. In May 2024, the company listed shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ZK, raising approximately 441 million dollars. [3][4]
