Woman dies in Spanish flood as Storm Adam strikes coastal areas

A mother has been killed in Spain after floodwaters swept her away in Cabrera de Mar, near Barcelona, during severe rainfall caused by Storm Adam. The Daily Mail reported that the woman fell into a swollen stream around 7.30pm on Saturday while trying to cross the waterway with her daughter. The woman was overpowered by the water as torrential rain turned local streets into rivers. Her husband managed to rescue their daughter before she could be carried away by the powerful torrents.
