The United States Marshals Service arrested 31-year-old Angel Carrasco on Wednesday evening, the New York Post reported. He is accused of pushing his estranged girlfriend, 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez, and their eight-month-old daughter off a 15th-floor apartment balcony in the Bronx. [1]

The fall killed Nathaly Ramirez and critically injured the eight-month-old infant, whom Ramirez was clutching at the time, according to the New York Post. Authorities stated that the incident occurred on Tuesday after Carrasco failed to reconcile his relationship with Ramirez. [1]

United States Marshal Ricky J. Patel said that taking the suspect off the street ensures he will answer for his alleged actions, the New York Post reported. The United States Marshals Service is a federal law enforcement agency within the United States Department of Justice that operates under the direction of the attorney general. [1][2]
