Tyson Fury plans to invite Donald Trump for ring walk in Cardiff

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury plans to invite United States President Donald Trump to lead his procession to the ring before his bout with British rival Anthony Joshua, Al Jazeera, Yahoo Sports, and the BBC reported. The highly anticipated fight is scheduled to take place on December 11 at the 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff, according to Al Jazeera and Yahoo Sports. [1][3][5][9]

Al Jazeera reported that Fury referred to Trump as his old pal and said he would make that offer to see if he is available. However, Fury acknowledged that an appearance is probably unlikely because of the situation Trump is currently in as the sitting president of the United States, according to Al Jazeera. [1]

According to Yahoo Sports, Fury previously met Trump at the White House in June during the UFC Freedom 250 event. On that occasion, Fury wore a Donald Trump for Prime Minister cap after his United States travel ban was lifted by Trump, Yahoo Sports reported. Donald Trump is an American politician currently serving as the 47th president of the United States. [4][12]

Additional coverage from ESPN, Sky Sports, and The Independent confirmed that Fury intends to ask Trump to join him on the ring walk for the Cardiff showdown. [8][10][11]
