Ryan Anderson Says He Was Shocked by Death of Ken Urker

The Guardian reported that Ryan Anderson, the former husband of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, expressed shock over the recent death of her ex-partner, Ken Urker. Urker died in Louisiana from an apparent overdose. Anderson discussed the situation during an appearance on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast on Friday. [1]

During the podcast appearance, Anderson stated that he reached out to the father of Blanchard to offer support. He added that he would be there for Blanchard and her daughter if she needs assistance. Urker was the former partner of Blanchard before his death in Louisiana. [1]

According to Wikipedia, Blanchard was convicted of second-degree murder following the June 2015 death of her mother, Clauddine Dee Dee Blanchard, in Springfield, Missouri. Blanchard had conspired with her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, to carry out the attack inside their home. Authorities later learned that her mother had abused Blanchard and misrepresented her health conditions for years. [2]

Grokipedia notes that Blanchard realized the extent of the abuse in 2015 and sought to escape by forming an online relationship with Godejohn. Blanchard pleaded guilty in 2016 as part of a plea agreement and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Godejohn was subsequently convicted of first-degree murder and received a life sentence. [3]
