A Russian man who is secretly working for Ukrainian intelligence has shared reconnaissance videos of surveillance work he claims to have completed inside Russia, the BBC reported. The man, identified by the BBC as Ivan, appeared in a BBC World Service documentary about Russian saboteurs. [1][8]

Ivan claims that he played a role in Ukrainian drone strikes against strategic bombers and munitions factories located inside Russia. According to the BBC, the operative was cautious about details, making it impossible to independently verify the specific activities he claimed to have carried out. [1]

The report comes alongside major military actions between the two countries. The Washington Times reported that Ukraine launched a massive attack involving over 1,000 drones against Russian oil terminals and data centers. Meanwhile, Anadolu Ajansi reported that the Kremlin said Russian strikes were designed to reduce the offensive potential of Ukraine. [3][7]

Separately, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the United States has resumed intelligence sharing on Russian missile launches following a three-day pause, according to the Kyiv Independent and the New York Post. The New York Post reported Zelensky as saying that the temporary blackout had left Ukraine unable to prepare for incoming Russian attacks. [4][5][6]
