The company provides security and consulting services in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where it previously assisted the national army in securing the city of Uvira. Prince, a former United States Navy SEAL officer, originally founded the private military contractor Blackwater on December 26, 1996. The company was later renamed Xe Services in 2009 and Academi in 2011, before being consolidated into Constellis Group in 2014. [2]
