The Metropolitan Police have launched an antisemitic hate crime investigation after a 52 year old Jewish man was attacked in Holborn, London. The Daily Mail reported that Dan Levene suffered head wounds and a suspected broken rib when he attempted to stop activists posting allegedly antisemitic graffiti. [1]

According to the Daily Mail, the alleged assault took place ahead of a parliamentary by-election in the Holborn and St Pancras constituency. The seat was vacated by former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Camden Council leader Sagal Abdi-Wali is considered the favourite to win the election, facing a challenge from Green Party leader Zack Polanski. [1]

Antisemitic tropes are defined as sensational fabrications or misrepresentations about Jewish people or Judaism. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Metropolitan Police are also facing public criticism over their response to a series of violent home burglaries across London. [3][4]
