Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is launching a new podcast called High Stakes on October 14, 2026, ahead of the United States midterm elections. The Washington Examiner, The New York Times, and Variety all reported that Clinton is teaming up with journalist and podcast host Kara Swisher for the show. The limited series will focus on analyzing the congressional battles for the House of Representatives and the Senate. [1][2][4]

The project is produced under a deal with Vox Media, according to Variety. The outlet reported that Clinton will split the advertising revenue generated from the podcast episodes with Swisher. Variety added that Vox Media is owned by Lupa Systems, an investment firm run by James Murdoch. [4]

Clinton served as the 67th United States secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 and was a United States senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009. She was also the First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001 and became the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Clinton recently addressed Nebraska Democrats regarding voter disillusionment, citing her 2016 election loss alongside major national events such as September 11 and the COVID pandemic as hard times. [3][8][10]

The new podcast series will debut as political parties prepare for the 2026 midterm contests, according to reports from the Washington Examiner and Rolling Stone. [1][7]
