Family of man killed by tiger criticize Donald Trump over reposted video

The family of a man killed by a tiger at a wildlife park in the United Kingdom have spoken about their severe distress after Donald Trump reposted video footage of the incident online. The Guardian, the Oxford Mail, and Wales Online all report that relatives of 23-year-old William Chapman criticized the social media content as deeply offensive. [1][4][5]

William Chapman died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster on Saturday. The Guardian reports that his family described him as bright, warm, and engaging, and said that he suffered from severe mental illness. Wales Online reported that the footage shared by Donald Trump included an artificial intelligence video. [1][5]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, South Yorkshire Police stated that William Chapman was visiting the park alone shortly after 13:30 BST on Saturday. The park was evacuated and closed following the incident. City of Doncaster Council opened a health and safety investigation, while officials confirmed that the tiger involved in the attack will not be euthanized. [8][9]

Donald Trump has used social media extensively since joining Twitter in March 2009, generating worldwide attention and thousands of official statements during his first presidency. His family described the continued circulation of the attack footage online as a source of severe distress. [1][7]
