Emirates has landed in the Finnish capital of Helsinki for the first time, Euronews reported. The Dubai-based carrier stated that it is currently operating at approximately 93% of its pre-disruption capacity, supported by strong winter bookings following a year of flight disruptions in the Middle East. [1]

During July and August, Emirates carried over 8.6 million passengers. According to Euronews, the airline stated that summer travel demand exceeded expectations, with booking momentum continuing to build ahead of the winter travel period that starts in late October. [1]

Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East and operates a fleet of more than 250 wide-bodied aircraft, serving over 150 destinations worldwide. Its main hub, Helsinki Airport, is operated by state-owned Finavia and serves as the primary international gateway for the Finnish capital region. [2][3]

Euronews reported that winter travel bookings are tracking positively for the airline, even as passengers tend to finalize their travel plans closer to their departure dates. [1]
