Two passenger planes collided on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday morning, according to reports from the Daily Mail, Fox News, and the New York Post. A Delta Air Lines jet taxiing for departure made contact with an Air Canada aircraft, the Daily Mail and Fox News reported. [1][3][5]

According to Fox News, the Delta aircraft was an Airbus A350-900 bound for Tokyo, carrying 275 passengers and 15 crew members. A spokesperson for Delta told Fox News that the plane's left wingtip struck the Air Canada jet while it was being towed to a gate. The Daily Mail reported that the collision involved Delta Flight 7 and Air Canada Flight 785, with the wingtip clipping the horizontal stabilizer of the Air Canada plane. [1][3]

Fox News and the New York Post both reported that no injuries were initially reported in the incident, which the New York Post described as a minor ground collision. Multiple outlets, including CNN, Fox News, CBC, and NBC Los Angeles, reported that the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the collision. [2][3][5][8][9][10][11]

Air Canada is the flag carrier and largest airline of Canada, headquartered in Montreal. Los Angeles is the second-most populous city in the United States and a major transportation hub in Southern California. [12][13]
