Costa Rican authorities are searching for a woman suspected of homicide after a 74-year-old American citizen was found dead in late September, according to reports by the New York Post and Fox News. The victim was identified as Fleming. His body was found on Sept. 27 inside a condominium in Playas del Coco, a seaside town located on the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. [1][2]
The Judicial Investigation Agency, which serves as Costa Rica's equivalent of the FBI, is seeking the public's help to identify the suspect. Fox News reported that the victim died with head injuries. According to the New York Post and Fox News, the victim had entered the condo in the tourist area at 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 27. [1][2]
Costa Rica is a Central American country located south of Nicaragua and north of Panama, with its capital in San Jose. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the country has recently taken strong security measures, including opening a new high-containment prison facility to address growing organised crime and elevated homicide rates across the nation. [5][8]
Authorities have not released further details about the suspect's identity. The Judicial Investigation Agency continues to request information from the public to assist in the ongoing murder investigation. [1][2]
