BBC reality show Celebrity Traitors attracts over ten million viewers

More than 10 million people have tuned in for episodes of the new series of Celebrity Traitors, the Guardian reported. UK producers stated that the BBC reality show has maintained universal appeal at a time when mass television audiences are becoming increasingly rare. [1]

The success of the series hinges on secrecy, but BBC bosses have issued a fresh warning to the cast over potential leaks, according to the Daily Mail. Producers are concerned following incidents including Richard E. Grant blurting out details during a radio interview, while contestant Julie Hesmondhalgh left a show group chat to avoid spoilers. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Richard E. Grant admitted that revealing his traitor identity to fellow contestants was an idiotic error. Grant explained on BBC television that he expected other participants to treat the admission as a joke. [6]

Contestant Maya Jama, who is playing as a traitor, reflected on the decision to recruit James Acaster and Hannah Fry for the show, the Daily Mail reported. Meanwhile, claims have surfaced that tensions between cast members have spilled over into real life. [2][3][5]
