Armagh forward Aimee Mackin has been shortlisted alongside Olivia Divilly and Siofra O'Shea for the LGFA Senior Players' Player of the Year Award.

Armagh forward Aimee Mackin has been nominated for the LGFA Senior Players' Player of the Year Award, the BBC and Yahoo Sports report. The shortlist for the award was officially announced on October 6, 2026, according to Galway Bay FM and BreakingNews.ie. [1][2][7][8]
According to Yahoo Sports and BreakingNews.ie, Mackin is joined on the three-player shortlist by Galway player Olivia Divilly and Kerry captain Siofra O'Shea. [2][8]
Mackin comes from Camlough in County Armagh and plays Gaelic football for Shane O'Neill's GAC as well as senior football for Armagh GAA. She previously won the TG4 Senior Player's Player of the Year award in 2020. [10]
In addition to her Gaelic football career, Mackin has played association football for Women's Premiership clubs Newry City and Sion Swifts. She has also represented Northern Ireland at both youth and senior levels. [10]
